Sometimes you need to farm gold for a specific purchase. These would be things like an epic mount or other major item. In those cases, you probably don’t want to earn just a few gold a week. It might take you forever to get that thing you want. You’d rather work towards that big item in a hurry, earning lots of gold in a short burst to get you to your goal.
